TalkChange is a grassroots initiative dedicated to promoting peace and social change through education. It was founded on June 5, 2020 by Gloire Sebuyange, inspired by his personal experiences in the violent conflicts of the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Considering the profound impact of conflict on individuals and communities, we value the inherent dignity of every person. We believe that no one should suffer the consequences of violence or war. Our goal is to empower and inspire individuals and communities affected by conflict through innovative learning methods that promote informed decision-making, foster community development, and uphold fundamental human values. We strive to unite diverse voices and encourage constructive discussions on personal development, decolonization, politics, religion, and culture.
To empower youth and individuals through innovative learning approaches that promote informed decision-making, advance community development, and drive peace and social change in conflict-affected regions.
We envision a world transformed by constructive communication, where individuals embrace knowledge with empathy and compassion to build safe communities free from violence, rich in opportunities for growth, connection, and collaboration.
Humanity: We honor the intrinsic worth, rights, and dignity of every individual.
Hope: We inspire a positive vision for the future and believe in the potential for meaningful change.
Integrity: We uphold transparency and ethical practices in all our actions.
Empowerment: We provide the tools and resources necessary to enable youth and individuals to create lasting peace and social change.

Inspired by his experiences with violent conflict in the DRC, Gloire founded TalkChange to foster peace and social change by equipping individuals with innovative learning methods that facilitate informed decision-making, promote community development, and uphold fundamental human values. He is currently pursuing a Master of Global Affairs with a concentration in International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, focusing his research on how transitional justice can contribute to peacebuilding in conflict-affected societies.
